On the sad anniversary marking a decade since the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a fresh theory introduced by Alan Diehl, a former National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator, could completely change the search efforts.

10th Anniversary of MH370 Mystery: Andaman Sea May Have the Answers

Diehl, who brings over three decades of experience in aviation crash investigations, proposes a theory that if validated, locates the wreckage almost 3,500 miles north of the previously concentrated search area in the southern Indian Ocean.

Alan Diehl’s Hypothesis

Diehl’s hypothesis, which he shared with Fox News Digital, suggests the Boeing 777 crashed into the Andaman Sea, northwest of Malaysia. This is a stark departure from the ongoing search efforts, which have been focused near the southwestern coast of Australia. The investigator believes the pilot, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, aimed to make a political statement against Malaysia’s regime by commandeering the aircraft, intending to fly it clandestinely across Malaysia towards the American military base in Diego Garcia. Shah hoped to broadcast his manifesto en route, land the plane, and release the passengers.
